Najib Khan
Najib Khan is the Group Chief Business Services Officer at Ooredoo Group, overseeing the Wholesale and B2B business across global operations. In this role, he drives international infrastructure development through strategic investments in submarine cable systems, transit networks, and fiber connectivity. He also leads initiatives in AI solutions leveraging GPU infrastructure, cloud and managed security services, and IoT platforms tailored for government, enterprise, and SMB customers.
With more than 30 years of experience in the telecom sector, Najib has held several leadership roles pioneering digital access for consumers and businesses. His track record includes the introduction of DIY consumer plans, AI-powered digital assistants for customer service, digital resort applications for hospitality, eCommerce and mobile money platforms, and the democratization of broadband in underserved markets through 4G and 5G technologies. Before joining Ooredoo, Najib served as CEO – Homes & Offices at Bharti Airtel Limited, where he accelerated the rollout of high-speed broadband, FTTH, IPTV, and cloud services for the B2B segment.
Among his career highlights, Najib successfully transformed Ooredoo Maldives into a full-service ICT business covering fixed wireless and wireline broadband, 5G and 4G services, and enterprise solutions, achieving the highest digital penetration across the group. He also launched a Super App strategy combining telecom self-care, financial services, eCommerce, and entertainment, and successfully executed the IPO of Ooredoo Maldives, ensuring a consistent dividend yield above 10%.
As a seasoned CXO, Najib has served across multiple international markets with deep expertise in ICT business solutions, product management, and sales operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with Marketing from the University of London, an Industrial Electronics Technical degree from Mumbai University, and a Postgraduate degree in Business Management.
