Before becoming CEO, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Sparkle and previously held various leadership positions at TIM, including Product & Portfolio Manager within the CTO organization and head of Technology Innovation, focusing on 5G, network virtualization and slicing, big data analytics and cognitive computing. 

Earlier in his career, he held a variety of management responsibilities at Telecom Italia in areas such as OSS, service platforms and network engineering, with roles spanning IP metro, CDN, broadband access, home devices, VoIP/IMS, contact centers, video platforms, and IoT services. 

In 1988 he  began his professional journey at CSELT (Telecom Italia’s R&D center) where he led research and standardization activities on network management and service platforms in ETSI, ITU and TeleManagement Forum. 

He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Torino. 

Since February 2025 he also serves as Chair of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo, the international representation of Confindustria that supports Italian companies on their growth path in Africa and the Middle East.
