Since 2020, Damien Bertrand serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Medusa Submarine Cable System, where he oversees the operational execution and deployment of the Medusa submarine cable across the Mediterranean Sea.
He is responsible for coordinating the project’s technical and operational strategy, ensuring timely delivery, and managing relationships with partners/customers, regulators, and landing parties across Europe, North Africa and Middle East.
With extensive experience in telecom infrastructure, Damien plays a key role in transforming Medusa into a major connectivity corridor linking Europe and Africa, enhancing digital resilience and fostering economic growth throughout the region.
